Ida Uldine Clayton, 97, a lifelong resident of Savannah and wife of the late Paul Christopher Clayton, Sr. died Saturday at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born February 21, 1927, to the late James Anthony VonDolteren, Sr. and the late Ida V. Lamon VonDolteren.
Ida was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son, Paul C. Clayton Jr., a daughter, Linda Elizabeth Clayton, and siblings.
Surviving are: Susan P. Loney and husband, Kim, and Jan K. Clayton; grandchildren, Jennifer Uzcategui and husband Tonny; Melissa Hardee and husband, Joey, Katrina Sherrod and the late, John and Miranda Lee; twelve great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends 12 until 1 o’clock Friday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service – 410 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah. Funeral services will follow at 1 o’clock in the afternoon in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Garden following services.
