Hinton Ellis 'Eddie' Sasser, 70, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Kathleen Irene Sasser, died Friday, April 10, 2015, at St. Joseph's Hospital.



Born in Millen, Georgia, he was a son of the late Hinton Littleton Sasser and the late Ruth McGee Sasser. Eddie was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church where he also sang in the choir. He retired after 44 years from Great Dane Trailers as a machinist. After he retired Eddie worked for Southeastern Auto Auction. He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association.



Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Kathleen Irene Bearden Sasser of Savannah, Georgia; one daughter, Devera Roberts of Madison, Georgia; one son, Littleton Sasser of Shelocta, Pennsylvania; one step-daughter, Marsha Michelle Beamon and her husband, Sal, of Providence, Rhode Island; six grandchildren, Shane Roberts and Savannah Roberts, both of Madison, Chance Cannon of Pooler, Blake Girardeau of Providence, Rhode Island, Dallas Sasser of Savannah, and Bryson Un of Providence; one great-grandson, Jayden Andrew Roberts of Greensboro, Georgia; and two sisters, Janelle 'Sister' Gay and her husband, Arnold, of Clearwater, South Carolina, and Jane Eastmead of Sardis, Georgia.



The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 Monday evening at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.



The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Tuesday at Bible Baptist Church conducted by The Reverend Dr. Herbert F. Hubbard and The Reverend Dr. John E. Rainwater. Interment will be at 2 o'clock in Little Horse Creek Baptist Church Cemetery near Rocky Ford.
