SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Hilda Herrmann Hunt, age 88, died Wednesday, June 24, at Hospice Savannah.
She was a lifelong resident of Savannah and a faithful, devoted and lifelong member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Anna and William Herrmann, and her three brothers, August Herrmann, Paul Herrmann and William Herrmann.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, John M. Hunt; a son and daughter-in-law, Marshall G. Hunt and Carla H. Hunt; a daughter and son-in-law, Frances H. Sanderson and Theodore K. Sanderson; four grandchildren, Jamie H. Roberts and husband Richard, Jason M. Hunt and wife Chris, John A. Meisz and wife Lisa, and Theresa L. Proctor and husband Gary; seven great-grandchildren, Marshall J. Hunt, Carly Frances Roberts, Jackson R. Roberts, Hunter R. Meisz, Gracyn C. Meisz, Samuel H. Proctor and Louis G. Proctor. She is also survived by her loving niece Betty H. Bacon.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Friday at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church conducted by Pastor Peter J. Hartmann. Interment will be in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
