SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Henrietta Kathryn "Kay" Salke Becker, 87, of Savannah, Georgia, widow of Meyer John Becker, died Thursday morning, May 10, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Born in New York, she was a daughter of the late Jesse E. Salke and the late Florence Hortense Salke. Mrs. Becker was a member of Congregation Bnai Brith Jacob. She was a homemaker and formerly an administrative assistant for Vaughn Shipping and Savannah Electric Company.
Surviving are her daughter, Laura B. Blumberg and her husband, Larry, of Dothan, Alabama; her son, Stephen W. Becker and his wife, Berta, of Atlanta, Georgia, and four grandchildren, Elizabeth Blumberg, Melissa Blumberg, Yahli Becker and Matan Becker.
The funeral service will be held at 12 noon Friday at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Avigdor Slatus.
The family will sit Shiva from 2 until 5 o'clock Friday afternoon at Buckingham South and from 2 until 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon at 455 Mall Boulevard, Apartment 90.
