Helen O'Rourke, 93, of Savannah and widow of Charles Martin O'Rourke, died Sunday afternoon, May 27, 2018, at her home.
She was preceded in death by her life partner, Frank Marx; son, Michael P. O'Rourke and a sister, Patricia Brannen.
Born in Brunswick, Georgia on April 18, 1925, she was the daughter of the late James A. Miller and Marion Hoyt Miller. Mrs. O'Rourke was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed reading, cross word puzzles, bunco, playing piano and shopping.
Surviving are her son, John J. O'Rourke (Harriet); step-children, April Marx and Bruce Marx and family; grandchildren, Shawn P. O'Rourke, Chief Petty Officer Joshua P. O'Rourke (Margaret), Erin M. O'Rourke and; great-grandchildren, Aidan J. Laufenberg, Isabel R. Waller, Liam P. O'Rourke, Finnegan H. O'Rourke and Adelyn M. O'Rourke; and a niece and two nephews.
The funeral service will be private.
