Hazel Irene Schwalls Donaldson, 89, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Durell Lemuel Donaldson, died Saturday afternoon, April 25, 2020, at her home.
Born in Swainsboro, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late George Franklin Schwalls and the late Eva Dell Kemp Schwalls. Mrs. Donaldson was of the Christian faith. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Durell Donaldson .
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Donaldson Doty and Theresa Donaldson Veale; five grandchildren, Laura Doty Hesse, Marie Doty Burke, Lisa Berry Crowley, Becky Berry and James Waters III, and a number of great-grandchildren.
The viewing was held from 3 until 5 o'clock Monday afternoon, April 27, 2020, and from 8:30 until 5 o'clock Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
A private funeral service was held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, May 1, 2020, at the graveside, Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, conducted by the Reverend Josh Duckworth.
