Harry D. Oliver Iii

Harry D. Oliver III, 68, of Savannah, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.

Harry was a fighter as was obvious throughout his valiant fight with ALS. He never gave up. Unfortunately ALS took his life in the end. He was not alone through his fight. His wife, niece, and pastor were at his side at the time of his death.

Harry loved life, he loved his family, he loved the game of golf, and was an avid golfer. He loved being on the water, boat riding, fishing, crabbing, or just watching the sun go down. He loved his church and his country. He was a longtime Mason and Shriner.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; his brothers-in-law, his sister-in-law, three nephews, two nieces, and their children.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 51 Wilmington Island Rd, Savannah, GA 31410. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Savannah Hospice, the ALS Association, or the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer on Wilmington Island.
