Harris Cal Dinerman

Harris Cal Dinerman, 73, of Savannah, died Thursday evening, October 8, 2020, at his home.



Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of the late David Dinerman and the late Shirley Marcus Dinerman. Harris was of the Jewish faith. He was a United States Air Force veteran.



Humorous, funny, and a kind heart, he wanted to invite everybody into his world of the 1950's - a time that Harris enjoyed. The wonder of sci-fi and fantasy science fiction was the corner stone of his being.



Harris had an amazing eye and idea of how to make films. He had worked on some major movie productions such as the Big Chill and others. A major filmmaker took his idea of werewolves walking erect and produced one of the first movies to do so.



Hopefully there will be a place in Heaven with the best screen and viewing position so Harris can be at peace watching his favorite pictures.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Dinerman.



Survivors include his brother, Craig M. Dinerman and his partner, Paul Downing, Jr.



The funeral service will be held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon, October 18, 2020, at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Robert W. Haas.
