Harriett Bragdon Crevis Blazer, 72, of Savannah, Georgia, and widow of Dr. John Allison Blazer, died Friday afternoon, June 8, 2018, at Memorial University Medical Center, surrounded by her family and friends.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Bartow Crevis and the late Mary Louise Bragdon Crevis. Mrs. Blazer was an active member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church and the WOC. She graduated from Memorial Hospital of Chatham County School of Nursing in 1966 with a diploma in Nursing. Mrs. Blazer retired from Georgia Regional Hospital in Savannah and was a member of the Georgia Nurses Association. She worked at various other hospitals throughout her career, to include Doctors Hospital in Augusta, where she was present to assist in the opening of the Burn Unit with first three burn patients from the ICU.
Surviving are one daughter, Laura Joanna Daniel Ingram; one step-daughter, Allison Kristine Blazer; grandchildren, John Wyatt Ingram and Alaina Kee Ingram; one step-grandson, Rafael Blazer Carrillo; two great-grandchildren, Brynlee Renee Thompson and Eden Jo Thompson; one sister, Nancy Ann Williams; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Pepe.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning at St. Andrew's Anglican Church ' 608 Hampton Street.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 Wednesday morning at St. Andrew's Anglican Church conducted by Father Jeffrey L. Baker. Interment will be at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, South Carolina.
