Harold Reed, devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and generous brother and uncle, died October 12, 2018 at the age of 98. When asked, he attributed his longevity to being a good boy and marrying the right woman.
Harold grew up in Cochran, Georgia, the son of the late Joseph and Ray Reed. He attended elementary and high school in Cochran and graduated from the University of Georgia. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Upon returning to the states he took a job as one of the original salesmen of the Zep Manufacturing Co. and shortly thereafter married his sweetheart, Esther Maltinsky. Together they raised four children, Linda, Ron, Martin, and Rick. They were also blessed with one grandson, Otto.
The funeral service will be held at 12 noon Monday at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Avigdor Slatus.
