SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Harold H. Hirsch, 92, of Savannah, Georgia, widower of Mary "Mickey" Christi Hirsch, died Saturday morning, April 10, 2010, at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Mr. Hirsch was born in Savannah, Georgia, to the late Sam Hirsch and the late Annie Itzkovitz Hirsch. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Hirsch was a member of Congregation Agudath Achim and was the owner of the Union Bar and Grill in Savannah. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased in death by three siblings, Raymond Hirsch, Dave Hirsch and Dora Rosenberg.
Surviving are three sisters, Sonya Diamond of Savannah, Georgia, Bess H. Freeman and her husband, Lou, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Irene H. Baker of Charleston, South Carolina; one brother, Julian Hirsch and his wife, Celia, of Memphis, Tennessee, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 12 noon Monday at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Kenneth R. Leitner.
