Glenn David Bedgood, Sr., 75, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Frances Blackwelder Bedgood, died Monday afternoon, February 7, 2022, at Memorial University Medical Center.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of the late James Earl Bedgood and Evelyn Worth Bedgood. Glenn was a member of Isle of Hope United Methodist Church. He was a United States Army veteran. Glenn retired first as a clerk with CSX and later retired from Orkin Pest Control. He and Frances were inseparable and their greatest love was their children and grandchildren. Glenn was actively involved in all of their lives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Earl Bedgood, Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Frances Blackwelder Bedgood; four children, Judith Marie Treadwell, Mary Patricia Horton and her husband, James, Glenn David 'Dave' Bedgood, Jr. and his wife, Melissa, and Daniel Alan Bedgood; nine grandchildren, Loren Caroline Benton-Treadwell, Randall Timothy Treadwell, Jr., Brianna Marie Bedgood, Daniel Poe Treadwell, Ethan Kane LeGrand, Miles Camden Horton, Lucy Noel Horton, Glenn David Bedgood III, and Jordan Anthony Bedgood; one sister, Glenda Knowles and her husband, Jimmy; one brother, Joseph Bedgood and his wife, Faye; nieces and nephews; and his fur baby, Bella Baby.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon, February 13, 2022, at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, February 14, 2022, at Isle of Hope United Methodist Church. Interment, with military honors, will be in Bonaventure Cemetery.
