Gerry Lee Simmons, 61, of Savannah, Georgia died at home Wednesday evening, January 23, 2019, after a long illness.
Mr. Simmons was born in Savannah to Horace Henry Simmons and Catherine Lawton Simmons, both deceased. He was a graduate of Savannah High School and proudly worked in chemical manufacturing for 42 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Julie Nichols Simmons.
Survivors include his children, Marcqus Simmons, Brandon Simmons, Katrina Simmons, and Taylor Simmons; brother, Horace Simmons, Jr.; sisters, Carole R. Simmons and Jacqueline Simmons; nephew, Daniel Simmons; and two grandchildren, Gerrod Simmons and Emariana Simmons.
Services will be private.
