Geraldine Isenberg Greenberg, 98, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Marvin T. Greenberg, died Sunday morning, January 31, 2021, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Born on October 19, 1922 in Gordon, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Sadie and Sol Isenberg. Mrs. Greenberg graduated from the University of Georgia in 1942 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She and her husband owned and operated The Fashion Shoppe in Waycross, Georgia for almost 40 years.
Her memory, powers of observation, and sense of style never left her, nor her analytical abilities when watching college football and basketball. She was the final chapter of a family that was larger than life, and had a history all its own.
In addition to her husband of 58 years and her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Hannah, Joe, Rose, Buster and Jake.
Survivors include her children, Steve and Sally Greenberg, Caryl (Greenberg) and Ken Smith; grandchildren, Greg and Susan Greenberg, Matt and Karina Greenberg, Gina Smith and Jake Smith; three great-grandchildren, Leo, Eleanor and Grant, and nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service was held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, February 1, 2021, at the graveside, Magnolia Cemetery in Augusta, conducted by Rabbi David Sirull.
