Gerald 'Jerry' Irwin Greenfield, 86, of Savannah, Georgia and widower of Mary Louise Smith Greenfield, died peacefully Friday afternoon, December 27, 2013, at his home.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of the late Arthur Greenfield and the late Esther Richman Greenfield.
Surviving are three daughters, Barbara Ann Barrett of Houston, Texas, Mary Judith Waters and her husband, Charles, of Beaufort, South Carolina, and Donna Miltiades Riddick and her husband, David, of Savannah; four sons, Robert Lewis Butler and his wife, Ramona, of Beaufort, South Carolina, Elliott Pledger Butler and his wife, Kathy, of Athens, Donald Edward Butler of Savannah and David Joseph Greenfield and his wife, Patricia, of Atlanta; seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Mickey Greenfield and his wife, Sonia, and Stanley Greenfield and his wife, Gail, all of Jacksonville, Florida, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery.
