Gary Lester 'Bubba' Wilson, 65, of Rincon, Georgia and husband of Linda Horner Wilson, died Thursday morning, January 25, 2018, at his home and surrounded by his family.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of the late William Lester Wilson and the late Dorothy Turner Wilson. Bubba was a former longtime member of Maye River Baptist Church. He was a retired residential and commercial electrician. Bubba enjoyed puzzles and building model wooden cars, helicopters and airplanes.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Linda Horner Wilson of Rincon; one daughter, Leighann Wilson and her fianc??, Jeremy Rohe of Bluffton; two sons, Michael Wilson and his wife, Tammy, of Forsyth, and William Wilson of Rincon; eight grandchildren; one sister, Carol Hughes and her husband, Jim, of Orlando; one nephew, John Hughes, and his beloved dog, Trix.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Friday evening at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon in Maye River Baptist Church ' 3507 Okatie Highway, Okatie, conducted by The Reverend Dr. Jack H. Gatlin. Interment will be in Maye River Baptist Church Cemetery.
