Frieda Korman Smulevitz, 98, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Hilel Smulevitz, died Saturday evening, November 30, 2013, at Hospice Savannah.
Mrs. Smulevitz was a member of Congregation Bnai Brith Jacob, Hadassah, the Sisterhood, and the JEA. Mrs. Smulevitz, a holocaust survivor, becomes one more holocaust survivor whose voice is forever lost to the world. Her compassion, never-ending energy, humor, sharp wit, and strong sense of fairness and justice will never be forgotten.?? She was lovingly known to her family and friends as Aunt Frania.
She was much loved and will be deeply missed by her brother, Schmulek Lassman; a daughter, Pearl Smulevitz; a son, Joe Smulevitz, and her many nephews and nieces and all those she touched throughout her life with her kindness and generosity.
The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Avigdor Slatus.
