Frank Jack Segler, 87, of Savannah, Georgia and widower of Marilyn Jane Waters Segler, died Wednesday evening, February 6, 2013, at Habersham House and under the care of United Hospice.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was a son of the late John Segler and the late Anna Krejiewski Segler. Mr. Segler was of the Baptist faith. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran having served as a Corporal. Mr. Segler retired from Chrysler as Production Control President of the Import/Export Division after 24 years of service.
Surviving are one daughter, Jeanine M. 'Nina' Thomas and her husband, Robert, of Savannah, Georgia; two sons, Karey Robert Segler and his wife, Jeanne Marie, of Toledo, Ohio, and Scott Alan Segler of Phoenix, Arizona; five grandchildren, Kara Segler, John Segler, Derek Thomas and his wife, Heather, Holly Thomas Schroeder and her husband, Jacob, and Kyle Thomas, and two great-grandchildren, Noah Schroeder and Benjamin Schroeder.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service, with military honors, will be held at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by Chaplain Stephen A. Lee. Interment will be private.
