Frank Ward Karsman, 58, of Cumming, Georgia and formerly of Savannah, Georgia, died Friday morning, June 17, 2022, in Savannah.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of Rosalind 'Roz' Toporek Portman and the late Stanley Murray Karsman. Ward was of the Jewish faith. He graduated from Benedictine Military School and during the summers attended The Citadel Summer Camp. Ward attended West Georgia College and graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in Economics. He was an insurance adjuster for Countryside Insurance. Ward played basketball when he was younger and his favorite activity was golf.
Survivors include his mother, Rosalind 'Roz' Toporek Portman and her husband, Bernard Mayer 'Buddy' Portman; his sister, Stacy Karsman Sullivan; his step-sister, Becky Portman and her husband, David Wolf, and his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral service will be held at 9:30 Monday morning, June 20, 2022, at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Jeffrey L. Gordon.
