Frances 'Fran' Jane Lowery-Wilson, 81, of Savannah, Georgia, died Wednesday evening, October 16, 2019, at Memorial University Medical Center.
Born in Filbert, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Sam Lowery and the late Mozell Mathews Lowery. Fran was a member of Congregation Agudath Achim. She earned her B.A. from Fordham University and her M.S.W. from Yeshiva University. Fran was the Regional Director for the Crimes Victim Commission under President Ronald Reagan.
Surviving are four children, Nicholas E. Seward, Joseph E. Seward, Donna M. Seward and Chandra M. Seward; five sisters, Macie Bagley, Annie M. Knox, Zenobia Campbell, Bertha L Lowery and Carrie E. Lowery; one brother, Nathaniel Lowery (Lena); seven grandchildren, Danielle, Brendon, Monica, Nigel, Anthony, George and Jonathan; great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Steven B. Henkin and Rabbi Robert W. Haas.
