Evelyn Goldie Wills, 87, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday morning, May 12, 2015, at Buckingham South.
Evelyn was born in Savannah on May 20, 1927, a daughter of the late Harry and Sophie Levy Wills. She worked in New York City, but when her father Harry became ill she returned to Savannah Georgia in 1964 to care for him. She gave tirelessly of herself throughout the rest of his life, then caring for her mother Sophie, then for her brother Ben...throughout their entire lives! During this time she worked at Levy Jewelers for 30 years. Evelyn was a sweet giving loving person. Evelyn was the beloved sibling of Saul, Libby, Reba, Ben, and Miriam Wills, and a beloved aunt.
She is survived by her sister, Miriam Wills, and by her many nieces and by nephews, including John and Randy Wills, whom she helped care for in their childhoods.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Avigdor Slatus.
