Evelyn Pearl Barbee Arnsdorff Tuten, 96, of Savannah, Georgia, died Thursday morning, June 6, 2019, at her home with her family at her side.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Charles Allen Barbee and the late Laura Jane Johnson Barbee Bradshaw. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple. Mrs. Tuten was formerly with Union Bag. She loved spending time with her family, crabbing, fishing, playing cards with friends. Mrs. Tuten enjoyed crocheting and crocheted blankets for many in her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Loys Bruce Arnsdorff and her second husband, Harold Jackson Tuten; her son, David Arnsdorff; four sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include one daughter, Evelyn Jane Arnsdorff Beasley of Savannah, Georgia; one son, Bruce Arnsdorff and his wife, Nancy; her daughter-in-law and widow of David, Abby A. Arnsdorff; seven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11:30 Saturday morning at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 12 noon Saturday at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by the Reverend Sheila R. Arnsdorff.
Immediately following the service, the family would like to invite friends to the Knights of Columbus ' 700 Christopher Drive, Savannah, Georgia, 31406-3710, for a celebration of life.
