Eve Whitfield Henderson, 91, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Colonel Lindsey Patterson Henderson, Jr., United States Army (Ret.), died Saturday evening, November 7, 2015, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Charles Garmin Whitfield and the late Cora Thompson Whitfield. Mrs. Henderson was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Susannah Fawcett and her husband, McDonald A. Fawcett, of Richmond Hill, and Elizabeth Merritt and her husband, CSM Rick Merritt, United States Army, stationed in Seoul Korea; two sons, Lindsey Patterson 'Pat' Henderson III and his wife, Ursula, of Houston, Texas, and Charles Whitfield Henderson of Richmond Hill; seven grandchildren, Daniel H. Henderson and his wife, Sally, Elizabeth Zucknick and her husband, Stephen, Frank Andrews Henderson, McDonald Austin Fawcett, Jr., Sarah Fawcett Langley and her husband, Chris, Lindsey Henderson Merritt, and Bonnie McCorkle Merritt, and four great-grandchildren, Daniel Zucknick, Logan Zucknick, Matthew Henderson, and Julia Katherine Langley.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Monday morning (November 16, 2015) at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by The Reverend Gavin G. Dunbar and The Reverend Craig E. O'Brien.
