Eunice Gertrude Johnson Cook, 93, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of James 'Jim' Arthur Cook, died peacefully Thursday evening, December 10, 2020, under hospice care in her home.



Eunice was born March 4, 1927, in Snyder, New York to the late Byron and Gertrude Johnson. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church for many years, and then became a member of White Bluff United Methodist Church in the year 2000, both churches instilling the love of Jesus Christ within her. Eunice was a teenage polio survivor.



She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education at the State University of New York at Fredonia in 1949. Eunice taught elementary grade students in both public and private schools for many years.



Surviving are her four sons, Paul Cook and his wife, Rahna, Jeffry Cook and his wife, Debbie, David Cook, and Andrew Cook. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kayla, Dana, Christina, David, Sarah and Matthew, and eleven great-grandchildren, Benton, Brady, Lillian, Cameron, Willow, Marek, Henry, Petr, Jakob, Scarlett and Kai.



Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
