Esau Palacios Sanchez, 16, of Garden City, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at Memorial University Medical Center.
Born in Vera Cruz, Mexico to Saul Palacios and Dalid Sanchez on January 19, 2001. He was a member of the rising junior class at Robert W. Groves High School in Garden City, Georgia. During his time at Groves High School, Esau was a dedicated member of the Rebels Soccer team and the team's goalkeeper the past two seasons. His hard work paid off both years, as he was awarded the Goalkeeper Award in 2016 and Defensive Player of the Year in 2017. He also led the region in saves. Esau was a loved classmate and a loyal friend to his peers. He was most known for his kind and compassionate personality, as well as his ability to make others laugh. What Esau loved most was his family. He was a wonderful son and brother. He always enjoyed competing with his older brother, Saul, and playing with his younger brother, Jacob. Esau is already greatly missed, but we know this is not a 'goodbye,' it's a 'see you later.'
Surviving are his parents, Saul Palacios and Dalid Sanchez; his brothers, Saul Palacios Sanchez and Jacob Palacios Sanchez; his paternal grandparents, Feliz Utrera and Ines Palacios; his maternal grandparents, Paula Garcia and Gerardo Ordinala, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 o'clock Friday afternoon, June 9, 2017, and from 1 until 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, June 10, 2017, at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday, June 10, 2017, in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Luis Fonseca. Interment will be private.
