Ernest Walter Palmer, Jr., 81, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Jeanne Marie Burdick Palmer, died Thursday morning, June 23, 2022, at Oceanside Health and Rehabilitation.
Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Ernest Walter Palmer, Sr. and the late Katherine Barnes Wilson Palmer. Mr. Palmer was a member of Central Christian Church. He was a United States Air Force veteran. Mr. Palmer was a computer operator at Cape Kennedy for several years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Lou Hulse.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jeanne Marie Burdick Palmer; and his son, Ernest Walter Palmer III and his wife, Katie.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon, June 26, 2022, at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Monday morning, June 27, 2022, at Central Christian Church ' 6810 Skidaway Road conducted by Minister Lionel Marmolejo. Interment, with military honors, will be at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon, June 27, 2022, in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Georgia.
