SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Elouise Marie Cecilia Winskie Kilpatrick, 87, of Savannah, Georgia, widow of William Eugene Kilpatrick, died Friday morning, June 26, 2009, at The Place at Pooler under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Born in Bulloch County, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Fred Euphrates Winskie and the late Nettie Lee Jones Winskie Ferguson. Mrs. Kilpatrick was retired from St. Joseph's Hospital as a Registered Nurse. She worked and took care of her family and her family was her hobby. Mrs. Kilpatrick loved animals and especially loved to feed the birds, squirrels and cats. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Marie Kilpatrick, and one brother, Fredbert Valdean Winskie.
Surviving are two daughters, Martha Kilpatrick McCallar and her husband, Chuck, of Pooler, Georgia, and Mary Kilpatrick of Savannah, Georgia; three sisters, Willa Bell Winskie Francis of Sumter, South Carolina, Laverne Winskie Jones of Black Mountain, North Carolina, and Betty Lucile Winskie Sasser of Hinesville, Georgia; seven brothers, John Millard Winskie of Chewelah, Washington, Mark Walton Winskie of Grand Saline, Texas, Charles Tony Winskie of Ellabell, Georgia, Edwin Bennett Winskie of Cleveland, Tennessee, Danny Paul Winskie of Huntington, Texas, Wayne Monroe Winskie of Springfield, Georgia, and Louie Lot Winskie of Pooler, Georgia, and three grandchildren, Charles Jared McCallar, Justin Alexander McCallar and Caitlin Ann McCallar.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church conducted by Pastor Peter J. Hartmann. Interment will be private.
