SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Elizabeth Herren Watkins Rees, 88, of Savannah, Georgia, widower of Chief MSGT, Robert F. Rees, United States Air Force, Ret., died Saturday afternoon, February 12, 2011, nine days shy of her 89th birthday at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Born in Birmingham, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Frank Herren and the late Stella Lowery Herren. She was retired from Otis Elevator Company and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving her son, James Durwood "Woody" Watkins of Savannah; four grandchildren, Brad Watkins, Trace Watkins, Jared Watkins and Laurel Watkins; three great-grandchildren, Hailey Watkins, Mallory Watkins and Morgan Watkins.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
