Elizabeth 'Liz' Ann Groot Liles, 75, of Savannah, Georgia, died Thursday morning, January 28, 2016, at Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida, she was a daughter of the late Henry 'H. A.' Groot and the late Evelyn King Groot. Liz was a former member of Faith Lutheran Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a step-grandson, William James Keath.
Surviving are one daughter, Theresa D. 'Terri' Liles of Midway, Georgia; one son, Joseph W. 'Walt' Liles, Jr. and his wife, Janet, of Marietta, Georgia; one grandson, Joseph W. 'Joe' Liles III, of Charleston, South Carolina; one great-grandson, Tommie Keath, of Mobile, Alabama; a niece, Hope McKelvey Sorrells, and her husband, Paul, of Canton, Georgia, and a nephew, Geoff Groot, and his wife, Susan, of Orlando, Florida.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:30 Sunday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Peter J. Hartmann. Interment will be private.
Remembrances (in lieu of flowers): Helen's Haven Children's Advocacy Center, care of Mary Lou Fraser Foundation for Families, Inc., 203 Mary Lou Drive, Hinesville, Georgia 31313.
