SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Elizabeth "Betty" Jane Kuhlke, 82, of Savannah, Georgia, died Monday evening, July 18, 2011, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Bernhardt Franklin Kuhlke and the late Frances Parker Kuhlke. She was a lifelong member of First Christian Church and graduated from Savannah High School and Armstrong Atlantic State University. Miss Kuhlke worked for many years in radio at WCCP, and later in the home building supply industry with Espy Lumber Company. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bernhardt Kuhlke, Jr., and two sisters, Mary Alice Anderson and Marie Donaldson.
Surviving are her sister, Edith Kuhlke of Savannah, Georgia; her brother, W. C. "Bud" Kuhlke, Sr. of Chamblee, Georgia, and twenty-two nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 o'clock Friday morning at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Gary D. Cubbedge. Interment will be in Bonaventure Cemetery.
