SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Elizabeth "Beth" McCormack Argendorf Korte, 60, of Savannah, Georgia, wife of William "Bill" Joseph Korte, died Monday morning, August 22, 2011, at her home and under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was a daughter of Robert William McCormack and the late Lucille Coleman McCormack. Beth was of the Catholic faith and was a homemaker. She enjoyed painting, reading, gardening, and knitting. Beth will be particularly remembered for knitting sweaters for the children in her family. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Argendorf.
Surviving are her husband, William "Bill" Joseph Korte of Savannah, Georgia; two sons, Scott Argendorf and his wife, Christine, of Marlborough, Massachusetts, and Russell Argendorf of Long Island, New York; one step-daughter, Hilary Black of Noble, Oklahoma; her father and step-mother, Robert William McCormack and his wife, Gabrielle, of Port St. Lucie, Florida; one sister, Barbara Kott of Stuart, Florida; three brothers, Douglas McCormack of Anchorage, Alaska, Timothy McCormack and his wife, Donna, and Robert McCormack, Jr., all of Long Island, New York, and three step-grandchildren, Blaine, Rowan and Tallon Black.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 Monday at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 7 o'clock Monday evening in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Archie J. Seabrooks. Interment will be private.
