Elizabeth 'Betty' Durden Jenkins, 77, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of E. Joseph Jenkins, died Sunday evening, December 20, 2015, at Landmark Hospital of Savannah.
Born in Savannah, she was a daughter of the late Alex Coleman Durden and Lucille Elizabeth Abbott Durden. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Mrs. Jenkins was a nurse who worked at St. Joseph's Hospital and several Savannah area doctors.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Macy Weiland.
She is survived by her brother Robert 'Bobby' A. Durden, and his wife Belinda, of Greenville, Kentucky; a half-sister, Rosemary Richards, of Savannah; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by The Reverend Brett A. Brannen.
