Elizabeth Cameron Estes, Liz to those who knew and loved her, of Thunderbolt, Georgia, died at her home on Saturday, August 26, after battling cancer.



Liz is survived by her husband, Robert Stewart of Thunderbolt, Georgia; her sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Allan Burns of Lawrenceville, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Skip and Marcy Estes of Colleyville, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Chuck and Gail Cudlipp of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; sister-in law and brother-in- law, Dinah and Andy Miller of Chattanooga, Tennessee; nieces, Megan Hise, Kimberly Klein, Emily Estes, Cara Slack, and Katie Wall; nephews, Matthew Hise, Zachary Estes, and Chase Cudlipp; two great-nieces and two great-nephews.



Liz is preceded in death by her mother, Justina Cameron Estes Cudlipp; her father, Boyce L. Estes; and her step-father, Charles L. Cudlipp, Sr.



Liz was born October 19,1958 in Atlanta, Georgia. She grew up in Decatur, Georgia and attended City of Decatur Schools. She graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in Human Resources and worked as a Human Resources Specialist until she decided to pursue her passion for cooking. She graduated from Savannah Technical College with a degree in Culinary Arts. While at Savannah Tech, she was a member of a nationally award-winning competition team.



Liz was known for her creativity, her sense of style and her devotion to home and family.



A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 o\'clock Wednesday evening, August 30, 2017, at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
