Elizabeth Ray Arkin, 67, was born in Far Rockaway, NY, and grew up in Cherry Hill, NJ. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Liz worked as an Occupational Therapist for several years before obtaining a Masters of Health Care Administration from The George Washington University in DC. Liz spent the next 35 years as a Health Care consultant setting up Cancer programs at hospitals throughout the US. Liz was a fierce and loyal friend to the many people she met throughout her life. After retirement she was a fixture at the gym, the pickleball court, and on her many walks with her golden, Zeke. Hospitality was her signature as she hosted large gatherings of friends and family for many occasions.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Steven, and loving mother to her children, Zachary Arkin and Dr. Sophie Arkin (Andy Halpern) all of Atlanta as well as her sisters, Peg Ray of Cincinnati, and Ellen Ray Balser (Billy) of Atlanta and sister-in-law Beth Bosman of Savannah.

The funeral will be graveside March 14, 2024, 2 pm at Bonaventure followed by Shiva at the residence at 1 Capt. Dunbar Lane, Savannah 31411 from 5-8 pm, Thursday and from 1-8 pm, Sunday to Tuesday.
