Janet Anderson Kniphfer passed away peacefully with family at her bedside on August 21st, 2021, after a brief illness.
Janet was born on April 23rd, 1935, and up until her passing at the age of 86 she exemplified the essence of a purpose driven life. Faith, Family, and friends defined who she was, and there is no doubt that she is celebrating eternal life with the Lord Jesus. Janet was an avid card player (some would say card shark) an accomplished line dancer and most of all a devoted Mom, Grammy, Granny, Great Granny, sister and incredible friend and devoted Christian. Savannah Baptist Temple is where she worshipped and forged lasting bonds of friendship through shared faith with fellow believers.
Janet was preceded in her passing by her devoted husband Ray, her Mother Thedus, her Father T.W. Anderson and her brother Tommy.
In addition to many extended family members, Janet leaves behind daughter Tricia, son-in-law Jim, daughter Jan, son Billy and daughter-in-law Melisand. She also leaves behind her sister Joanne, grandson Josh and his wife Jessica, along with granddaughter Lauren and her husband Austin. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren Landry and Blake.
Janet was an extraordinary Patriot whose love of Country was reflected in her dedication to support our Nations Gold Star families through a program called Snowball Express, as she mobilized the Savannah Community to donate care packages to the Snowball Express children of our fallen military heroes. We miss you; we love you, and you will always be in our hearts.
