Elaine Rubnitz

Elaine Rubnitz, 74, of Savannah, Georgia, died Friday evening, November 23, 2013, at Hospice Savannah.



Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Rueben Rubnitz and the late Helen Rubnitz. Miss Rubnitz was a member of Congregation Bnai Brith Jacob. She worked for the Chatham County Tax Assessors Office for 44 years.?? Miss Rubnitz raised pekingese puppies and was especially fond of her most recent Pekingese, Bentley.?? She loved playing the slot machines in Las Vegas and was known for always having a new car.



Surviving are?? her aunt and uncle, Jean and Sonny Rubnitz of Savannah; six cousins, Dr. Melvin Haysman, Neil Haysman, David Rubnitz, Debbie Cohen and Ronald Weiner, all of Savannah, and Ronald Haysman of Baxley, and her close friend, Regina Dickson of Pooler.



The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Avigdor Slatus.
