Edna Mills Vogler, 90, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Paul Alden Vogler, died Sunday afternoon, May 8, 2016, at Candler Hospital.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Lena Elizabeth Mills Strickland. Mrs. Vogler was a charter member of South Gardens Baptist Church. She graduated from Commercial High School and retired as a telephone operator after more than 30 years with Southern Bell. Mrs. Vogler enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and sewing.
In addition to her husband and mother, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Alden Vogler.
Surviving are two daughters, Beverly Elizabeth Vogler and Carol Ann Dinkins and her husband, David, all of Brooklet, Georgia; one son, Thomas E. Vogler and his wife, Brenda, of Savannah, Georgia; four grandchildren, Shelby Dinkins, Riley Dinkins, Iris Vogler and Chris Vogler; two great-grandchildren, Addelynne Hope Huddleston and Owen Miller, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Wednesday evening at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Thursday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Dr. Drew Corbett. Interment will be in Hillcrest Abbey ' East.
