Edna Lee Ray Russell, 90, of Savannah Georgia and widow of James Amry Russell, died Wednesday morning, February 25, 2015, at Memorial University Medical Center.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Charles M. Ray and the late Hattie Mae Harvey Ray. Mrs. Russell was of the Christian faith and was a homemaker. She was an award winning horticulturalist who loved working with flowers. Mrs. Russell was a wonderful mother who thoroughly enjoyed time with her family.
Surviving are three daughters, Gloria Elizabeth Phillips, Angela Ruth Dettmer and Natalie Melissa Tingley and her husband, Curt; two sons, James Martin 'Marty' Russell and J. Michael Russell and his wife, Gena; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o' clock Thursday at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o' clock Friday at the graveside, Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, conducted by The Reverend Robert H. Dimmitt.
