Eddie Royce Morris, 56, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Phyllis Akins Morris, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at his home and under the care of Spanish Oaks Hospice.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was s son of Annie Mae Beasley Morris and the late Walter Minyard Morris. Eddie was a Christian who loved his family and his friends. He owned and operated Eddie Morris Roofing.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Perry.
Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Phyllis Akins Morris; two daughters, Keri Ann Lewis and Mindee Morris; one son, Royce George Morris; two grandchildren, Michael Washington, Jr. and Tash Lewis; four sisters, Margie, Rosemary, Judy, Betty and Margaret 'Bit'; four brothers, Donald, Darvin, Murray and Mickey, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 Sunday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 4 o'clock Sunday in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by Chaplain Jon Goertz. Interment will be private.
