Dwight Carlo Hudson, 87, of Savannah, Georgia and widower of Margaret Macile 'Mae' Walls Hudson, died Thursday morning, September 20, 2018, at Candler Hospital.
Born in Casar, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Harvey John Hudson and the late Mozelle Rebecca Crotts Hudson. Mr. Hudson was of the Baptist faith. He served in the North Carolina Air National Guard. Mr. Hudson was the owner and operator of Hudson's Upholstery. He loved spending time with his family, gardening, and watching UGA, Braves and Falcons ballgames and westerns, and playing poker.
In addition to his wife of 58 years, he was preceded in death by a son, Dwight Scott Hudson, two sisters and four brothers.
Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia 'Cindy' Hudson Page and her husband, Winston, Sr., of Savannah, Georgia, and Brenda Hudson Murray and her husband, Ronald, of McDonough, Georgia; one son, Michael Hudson and his wife, Sharon, of Savannah, Georgia; six grandchildren, Winston Page, Jr. and his wife, Rebecca, Christopher Page and his wife, Tara, Crystal Bailey, Fushia Robinson and her husband, Brent, Heather Driskell and her husband, Justin, and Ross Michael Hudson; ten great-grandchildren, Evan, Lauren, Cooper, Will, Taylor, Hunter, Parker, Damon, MacKenzie and Michael, and two on the way; seven sisters, Dorothy, Nancy and her husband, Myron, Diane and her husband, Ralph, Edith, Brenda and her husband, Allen, Geraldine and Della and her husband, Bobby; five brothers, Jerry and his wife, Peggy, Joe and his wife, Diane, Harvey, Richard and his wife, Charlene, and James and his wife, Sherry, and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 1:30 Saturday at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o\'clock Saturday afternoon at the graveside, Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim.
