Dorothy Roberta Maher

SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Dorothy Roberta Maher, 91, of Savannah, Georgia, widow of Thomas William Maher, died Saturday afternoon, August 8, 2009, at her home.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Mrs. Maher was a former bookkeeper for Savannah Housing Authority. Her husband retired from Grumman Aerospace Corporation, which is now Gulfstream. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Steven Maher, Peter Maher and Tom Maher.
Surviving are one son, Matthew "Matt" J. Maher and his wife, Kathy, of Savannah, Georgia; five grandchildren, Leighton Matthew Maher, Brian James Maher, Tabitha Niles, Jenny Bradley and Amy Maher, and several great-grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 o'clock Tuesday morning in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church conducted by The Reverend Benjamin Dallas. Interment will be private.
