Dorothy Rose Maddox Davis, 88, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Harry Hall Davis, died Friday afternoon, December 29, 2017, at Azalealand Nursing Home.
Born in Jackson, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Maddox and the late Johnnie Castleberry Maddox. Mrs. Davis lived most of her life in Savannah and was retired from the Chatham County Food Services having run the lunchroom for Savannah High School for many years. She was a top agent with Avon and received the Avon Presidential Club Mrs. Albee Award. Momma Dot loved God, her family, sewing, fishing and cooking.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Micki Lynn Davis Rahn, and a sister, Anna Belle Annis.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Johnny Harrigan Davis and Elizabeth 'Liz' Davis of Savannah; her son-in-law, Gary W. Rahn of Richmond Hill, Georgia; two granddaughters, Angie Rahn Molpus and her husband, Mitch, of Richmond Hill, and Savannah Ann Davis of Savannah; three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Molpus, Bryce Molpus, and Emma Molpus, all of Richmond Hill, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, January 2, 2017, at the graveside, Effingham Memorial Gardens ' 880 Highway 119, Springfield.
