Dorothy Mae Stricklan Bouton, 85, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of James Preston Bouton, Sr., died Monday morning, April 22, 2013, at Memorial University Medical Center.



Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late George Nelson Stricklan and the late Helen Remley Stricklan. Mrs. Bouton was a member of Whitefield United Methodist Church. She was a former owner and operator of AB&B Gas Company. Nannie, as she was known to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was a wonderful wife and mother, who loved her family and also enjoyed traveling and cooking. In addition to her husband of 42 years??and her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William 'Bill' E. Bouton.



Surviving are three daughters, Dorothy Mae Bouton of Guyton, Cynthia Bouton Jones and her husband, Curtis, of Guyton, and Martha Dell Malone and her husband, Brian, of Savannah; one son, James 'Jimmy' P. Bouton, Jr. and his wife, Pamela, of Bloomingdale; her daughter-in-law, Sandra J. Bouton of Springfield; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Colson Demer, Emily Elizabeth Colson, Samantha Malone, James Austin Bouton and his wife, Jennifer, Brandon James Jones, Aron Bouton, Heather D. Bouton, Christy Bouton, Matthew Bouton and John Bouton, and four great-grandchildren, Stella Demer, Djuna Demer, Allison Leigh Bouton and Katherine Alexis Bouton.



The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Wednesday evening at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.



The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Thursday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Dr. G. Grover Bell. Interment will be in Hillcrest Abbey ' East.
