Doris Wood Touchton, 83, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Lonnie Eric Touchton, died Sunday evening, March 2, 2014, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Vero Beach, Florida, she was a daughter of the late Edgar James Wood and the late Maggie Magdeline Bass Wood. Mrs. Touchton was a member of Central Church of Christ.
Surviving are three daughters, Jeanette Reece and her husband, John, and Paula Gibson and her husband, Daniel, all of Savannah, and Cindy Clark and her husband, Melvin, of Statesboro; one son, Lonnie R. 'Rick' Touchton and his wife, Karen, of Spring Hill, Florida; one brother, Edward Wood and his wife, Geri, of Jacksonville, Florida; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 Tuesday at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by Minister Jason M. Gambol and Chris Gibson. Interment will be at 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon in Lakewood Memory Gardens South in Rossville, Georgia.
