Doris Elizabeth Crumpton Smith, 95, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Walter Louis Smith, died Wednesday morning, May 23, 2018, at her home with her family by her side.



Born in Calcius, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Elder Alva Riska Crumpton and the late Alma Jane Mooney Crumpton. Mrs. Smith was a charter member of Faith Primitive Baptist Church on Bee Road. She was a former owner and operator of a florist, a catering company, and a wedding shop. Mrs. Smith was very close to her family and was extremely proud of her Crumpton name.



In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Jones-Thornton; three sisters and five brothers.



Surviving are one daughter, Dr. Jane Smith Goodwin and her husband, Jim, of Barnesville, Georgia; three grandchildren, Steven Louis Jones and his wife, Tina, Dr. Jacey Goodwin Seaton and James Conway Goodwin III and his wife, Dara; five great-grandchildren, Gatlan James Goodwin, Jaley Jane Seaton, Jase Scott Seaton, Janey Elizabeth Seaton and Jameson Jate Seaton, and many nieces and nephews.



The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 o'clock Friday morning at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.



The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
