Doris Nelms, 78, of Savannah, died Monday, February 26, 2018, at Insignia Savannah.
Born August 5, 1939 in Savannah, she was a daughter of the late Sidney Love and Doris Love. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Jenkins and Henry Drew Nelms, and her daughter Janet Lynn Bowen. Mrs. Nelms retired from Wachovia Bank, formerly First Union Bank, after more than 30 years of service. She enjoyed working in her yard and loved caring for her family.
She is survived by her grandsons, Chris Bowen and his wife, Rebecca, and Ryan and his wife, Jessica; three great-grandchildren; sister, Sandra Paige, and brothers, Bucky Love, Arthur Love, Everett Love and Daniel Love.
The funeral service will be held at 11 am Thursday in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue. Interment will be in Hillcrest Abbey ' West.
