SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Doris Lineberry Beebe, 82, of Savannah, Georgia and wife of John Robert Beebe, died Monday afternoon, August 13, 2012, at Candler Hospital.
Born in Greensboro, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Glen Lineberry and Pearl Gray Lineberry. Mrs. Beebe attended Bible Baptist Church and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a former real estate broker and worked with the Corp of Engineers and later with Union Camp Corporation. Mrs. Beebe was a former volunteer at Trinity United Methodist Church, Herschel V. Jenkins High School Booster Club, the Girl Scouts, the Boy Scouts and the Savannah Chapter of the Georgia DeMolay.
Doris loved her family and spending time with them on family vacations every summer at Tybrisa. She never met a stranger and had the gift of making everyone feel like family. Her family was her pride and joy, especially all of her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, John Robert Beebe; two daughters, Annette B. Hayman and her husband, Lester, of Savannah, Georgia, and Nicolette B. Smith and her husband, Charlie, of Pooler, Georgia; three sons, John Robert "Bobby" Beebe II, Jeffrey "Jeff" Beebe and his wife, Deborah, and Terry Beebe and his wife, Lisa, all of Savannah, Georgia; eight grandchildren, Angela Folkers and her husband, Daniel, Melissa Beebe, Jeffrey Beebe II, Katie Beebe, Amanda Edge and her husband, Michael, Leslie Beebe, Jessica Hayman and Cody Smith.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Thursday at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Thomas W. East, Jr. Interment will be in Hillcrest Abbey - West.
