Donnie Ray 'Don' Horton, 56, of Guyton, Georgia, died Thursday, September 5, 2013, at his home.
Born in Stuart, Virginia, he was the son of the late Ernest William Horton, Sr. and Flossie Margaret Bowman Horton.?? Don served his country as a Squad Leader in the U.S. Army. Don was preceded in death by his father, and brothers, Gordon David Horton and James O'Neil Horton.
Surviving are his wife, Vickie Ann Dennis Horton; five daughters, Deborah Wood and her husband, Jason, Charlotte Horton, Becky Dennis, Kelly Dennis and Tori Horton; three sons, James Strickland, Andrew Strickland and Peter Horton; three sisters, Margaret Erlaine Watkins, Debeara Kay Horton- Eutsler?? and Janet Marie Epperson, and two brothers, Ernest William Horton, Jr. and Rodney Fay Horton.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 Friday at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah.
The memorial service will be held at 7 o'clock Friday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service. Interment will be private.
