Vera Dolores Beasley Lafitte, 85, of Thunderbolt, Georgia and widow of Robert Walker Lafitte, died Wednesday evening, April 16, 2014, at her home and under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Mrs. Lafitte was born in Lavonia, Georgia to parents affectionally known by their nicknames as Judge and Bert Pilgrim Beasley.?? She has one living brother, Wayne Beasley of Summerville, South Carolina.?? Dale R. Lafitte is the only surviving child from the union to Robert Walker Lafitte.?? Robert Walker died in 1980 of cancer and her only son, Robert Stephen Lafitte, died in 2012 of dementia.?? She has many nephews and nieces who have kept in touch throughout the years.
In her young adult years, Dolores began her search for truth.?? In her search, she came in contact with one of Jehovah's Witnesses.?? From the scriptures, she learned that God holds out an everlasting hope for those who wish to please HIM.?? This hope is one that started back when God first created man. (Genesis 1:27)?? HE has not changed.?? This hope is still offered to those wishing to please HIM and conduct themselves the way HE wants. The grand hope of everlasting life in a paradise earth serving their Heavenly Father eternally --- a GRAND HOPE indeed (Revelation 21: 3, 4).???? It is a wonderful hope of death being no more.?? Dolores will be seen again, along with her dead loved ones, in a younger perfect human body serving Almighty God in the manner HE intended.
A funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses ' 630 Henry Street.?? A private entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
