Dennis Martin Jacobi

Dennis Martin Jacobi, 72, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Nancy Helmken Jacobi, died Monday afternoon, August 8, 2016, at his home and surrounded by his family.



Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was a son of the late Erwin Erich Jacobi and the late Margaret 'Mona' Wich Jacobi. Dennis was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was a veteran having served in the United States Coast Guard. Dennis was a retired lab technician with Arizona Chemical. He loved his family and also enjoyed golf, fishing and coaching softball.



Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Nancy Helmken Jacobi; three sons, Dennis M. 'Denny' Jacobi, Jr. and his wife, Jaime, of Savannah, Daniel Scott Jacobi of Midway, and David Erich Jacobi and his wife, Monica, of Savannah; seven grandchildren, Rachael Lindsey Jacobi, Jenna Dayle Jacobi, Zachary Scott Jacobi, Ashleigh Taylor Jacobi, Kyle Daniel Jacobi, Levi River Jacobi and Laynnie Ericha Jacobi; one great-granddaughter, Marleigh Amelia Broome; one sister, Marjorie 'Midge' Jacobi of Michigan; two brothers, Lawrence 'Larry' Jacobi and his wife, Ilene, and Paul Jacobi and his wife, Lisa, all of Michigan, and a number of nieces and nephews.



The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 o'clock Friday morning at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church.



The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church conducted by The Reverend Peter J. Hartmann. Interment will be private.
